If we have an Adventure / Offroad bike the ideal exhaust is the one with a shorter endpipe to be less prone to damage in case of a fall and to be less cumbersome when riding.

If, on the other hand, our bike is a Super Sport / Naked bike, surely the part that will make it the master, removed that performance, is the design.

I personally give a lot of importance to the design and that it has a nice sound for example, I don't really care if an exhaust can give me a few more horsepower or less, the important thing is that it is of very good quality and that it looks good.
