YAMAHA MT 09: IS IT RECOMMENDED TO FIT A SPORT EXHAUST? WHAT ARE HIS ASSETS?
Hello and welcome to MotoDecibel the sports exhaust store!"
In this article I want to give you the right information and advice if you are looking for the best sports exhaust for your beloved two-wheeler.
Today I want to talk to you about the much-acclaimed Yamaha MT 09 to give you a complete overview of the models mentioned and the ones I consider the best on the market today.
I'll go over the differences and product qualities based on the price range and design of each model.
What is the Best Sports Exhaust for Yamaha MT 09:
Based on your model version and year there are various brands that I think are interesting and with a good compromise between quality and performance.
What you first need to analyze is the budget you want to invest for this product. Having done this brief analysis can figure out what price range you want to invest on.
The brands I would consider if I were to buy a Yamaha MT 09 tomorrow would be: Arrow, Akrapovic and Mivv.
As lines are the ones that I think would best suit the design of the MT 09.
Because it is a very compact bike with little fairing ("if any") ,I believe that to give it the right touch to its appeal we need an exhaust as short as possible and less obtrusive to give it that right aggressive character that Yamaha MT 09 manages to convey as soon as you see it.
The three brands I just mentioned I think perfectly meet this request of mine, but with that doesn't mean that the other brands are not great for this model.
The factor is just a subjective matter and anyone can easily disagree with my choice and prefer a longer exhaust instead of a short version.
My consideration is more about an aesthetic factor than performance and maybe you care little about the design factor and want a quieter or more obtrusive product to enrich the fabulous lines that MT 09 possesses.
As you can well understand there is no better or worse product because it all depends on one's taste.
What I would like to point out is that all the brands that you will find on MotoDecibel, are of the highest quality because I myself make it a point to sell only products that I believe are the best on the market.
Now it's your choice and if you want to share your opinion with me you can leave your comment at the bottom of this article. It will be my pleasure to share ideas with you.
Having come this far I hope you've been able to get an idea of the features the exhaust should have for your Yamaha MT09.
I hope I've been helpful in your choice.

How to Choose the Best Sports Exhaust:
Exhausts vary by model depending on the material whether they are stainless or titanium, and whether they have carbon parts.
These details will be able to give an improvement on the weight and design factor of the product.
On the performance level, it remains unchanged between models.
To install a sports exhaust will not require any modification to your bike and can be mounted even on the original headers if you do not want to install racing headers. (except cases that the original exhaust is not a single block, in which case we will be forced to change the complete exhaust.)
The manifold can give a great benefit to our bike on the fact of improving the flow of exhaust gases and overheating of the bike.
Installing a sports exhaust will be able to give big benefits in various aspects.
The factors that make it are 4: Sound, Performance, Weight and Design.
These 4 points are really important and make get a marked change once installed.
Every rider, myself included, as soon as he buys a new bike the first thing he thinks of changing is just the terminal.
Some people decide to change it because they want to improve the design or those on the sound, but the main goal is always the same; to change exhaust as soon as possible to give the right appeal to their bike.
Having a simple tailpipe without headers can still give great results and won't require engine modifications.
Obviously if you decide to install a full sports exhaust, what you will have to do to optimize performance to the best is remap the ECU, although it is not a mandatory step.
I prefer to make a dedicated map when I mount a new exhaust to go and optimize the parameters of the bike, but this is a subjective factor and to the type of driving that everyone has.

What Differences Can There Be Between Various Exhaust Models?"
Let's start from the fact that whatever sports exhaust we want to fit will still give us a benefit.
The bike will be smoother with the delivery, it will heat up less, it will optimize fuel consumption and it will be lighter than keeping the stock exhaust.
Having cleared this step, the thing that can make the real difference is the design and sound.
An important factor to consider is product approval.
There are 2 types of exhaust on the market: The street-legal version and the Racing version which is not.
With the Racing version it is not that you can't really drive on the road, but you are only subject to penalties from law enforcement in case of control on the issue of decibels, while the one of exhaust gases in the absence of the catalytic converter in case of review you will not pass the control.
If you are willing to take this risk the racing version exhaust can be safely mounted on your bike.
On the other hand, if you want to ride on the street quietly without having to risk penalties in case of control, then what I recommend is to mount an Approved exhaust.
On the performance level obviously the Racing version will be more performing in every aspect, but it all depends on how much you are willing to risk and your needs.
Which Exhaust Model Should You Choose?"
If we have an Adventure / Offroad bike the ideal exhaust is the one with a shorter endpipe to be less prone to damage in case of a fall and to be less cumbersome when riding.
If, on the other hand, our bike is a Super Sport / Naked bike, surely the part that will make it the master, removed that performance, is the design.
I personally give a lot of importance to the design and that it has a nice sound for example, I don't really care if an exhaust can give me a few more horsepower or less, the important thing is that it is of very good quality and that it looks good.
Obviously this is the opinion of a two-wheeler lover without high demands, because if the goal is to look for a product with as much performance as possible, then it is right to leave out the design part and focus more on the performance factor.
The crux of the matter then is to first assess your needs, and finally evaluate what budget you want to devote for this product.
On the performance and sound side you will definitely have big improvements with whatever exhaust you decide to buy.
For the rest you'll just have to evaluate which one makes you more crazy as aesthetics associated with the right budget to want to invest... because let's face it: "A blazing exhaust that thunders at every gear change is an indescribable symphony for any rider! "
That's it. I hope I have given you a clear overview of which sports exhaust is best for you, and I hope I have taken away every single doubt about your next purchase.

If you don't know me yet, let me introduce myself:
My name is Fabio and I have been a rider for 10 years now, I come from Motocross and over time I also got into 2-wheelers on the road.
Thanks to my passion and experience in this world I wanted to build my own successful business in the world of 2 wheels, but main thing, lead my company to become one of the largest suppliers in Europe for the resale of sports exhausts.
Now maybe you'll ask yourself: why did you choose this specific product?"
For the simple reason that when I used to race and accidentally got into an accident, I would punctually find myself damaging the exhaust of my bike, so I had to necessarily buy a new one.
Over time I interfaced with many dealers and was never fully satisfied with the service I received, so I said to myself, why not give people like me the opportunity to be able to receive better service and support on this aspect?
So I had the idea to open a store focused on sports exhausts, and now here I am to give you my best support to get you the right information you are looking for about your next purchase.
With my brief presentation and that of MotoDecibel over, I wish you a lot of fun riding your beloved two-wheeler...
All Gas and see you next article!
